When I first met Don Rosa, it was in a comic book page. He made, at that point, the boring world of Donald Duck became interesting again. He managed to give the ducks and the world they lived in, substance, and told some incredible and engaging stories.
In the year 2002 I met Don Rosa through Arild Wærness from raptus.no (Norwegian Comic Festival). In the year 2003 I was allowed a visit to his farm. My hope was to make a documentary, but both time and money made that task a challenge. But here at www.meetdonrosa.com, I´ll give you a glimpse of how it is to visit with him.
He´s a charming fellow, and I would like to thank his wife Ann and Don Rosa himself for their warmth and good welcome. Thanks goes also to the Raptus-festival, who allowed me to do this journey and meet all kinds of interesting people.
Don Rosa has now retired as a Duck artist and storyteller. On this site I will make my footage available, both in raw footage and edited sequences.
I´ve donated some of my footage for free for use in director Sebastian Cordes documentary about Don Rosa.
I recommend that you visit their site at: http://www.donrosamovie.com, and support the production.
